Andrew Alston is an experienced trial attorney with significant courtroom experience and a track record of trial successes. Andrew has a reputation for compassionate, effective, and honorable advocacy. He fights for the underdog, he represents individuals, and he practices client-centered advocacy in his personal injury, criminal defense, and general litigation practice.
Andrew is an Honors graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University with his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After taking his Emergency Medical Technician training at Jefferson University Hospital, he was licensed and served in that role.
Andrew is a graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law. At Temple Law School, Andrew graduated with Dean’s Honor List recognition and numerous Trial Advocacy and trial performance awards. During law school, Andrew had the privilege to serve in an intern and extern clerkship in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for Federal District Court Chief Judge Juan Sanchez as well as Federal Magistrate Judge Timothy Rice.
From Temple Law, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, Andrew received recognition for his legal service and teaching.
After law school, Andrew practiced law at one of the largest criminal defense organizations in Philadelphia where he represented hundreds of clients as lead counsel through all stages of hearings and trials—both bench and jury. He also practiced at a law firm representing personal injury victims.
To continue to refine his courtroom skills, Andrew completed an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy at Temple University, Beasley School of Law. During the LL.M. Program, Andrew received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Courtroom Presentation and Performance.
Andrew volunteers his time to speak at continuing legal education and training programs, and he assists pro bono service projects. Outside of the law and the courtroom, Andrew enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.
Episode 02 | Town Law Talk with Guest Lawyer Jordan Strokovsky, Founder of Strokovsky LLC
Strokovsky LLC founder, Jordan Strokovsky, is a trial lawyer serving the catastrophically injured in a diverse range of cases including medical malpractice, birth injury, truck accidents, fires, explosions, plane crashes, premises liability, product liability, workplace injuries, toxic torts, civil rights, car accidents and sexual assault.
His hard work ethic, integrity and compassion earns him the trust of his clients and respect of his opponents. These attributes have also helped him obtain significant verdicts and settlements. For good reason, many lawyers refer or seek to co-counsel their serious injury and wrongful death cases with Jordan.
Most recently, Jordan obtained one of the largest medical malpractice awards in Pennsylvania history—a $30,321,145.60 recovery against Temple University Hospital where his client’s leg was amputated. For years, the hospital denied any wrongdoing, and they threatened to tie the case up in appeals if his client did not accept their offer of $3,000,000.
While other attorneys may have implored their client to take the money to avoid going to trial against a large corporation, Jordan tirelessly prepared for court to secure a just outcome for his client.
His thorough investigation and preparation leading up to trial resulted in the hospital admitting fault (which virtually never happens in medical malpractice cases). After a hard-fought trial, the jury awarded full justice to Jordan’s client for approximately $25.9M ($6M for future medical costs and $20M for pain and suffering).
Episode 01 | Town Law Talk with Guest Attorney Tom Bosworth of The Law Offices of Thomas Bosworth
At age 33, Tom Bosworth became the youngest lawyer in the history of Pennsylvania to obtain a jury verdict in excess of $10 million for a living client as lead counsel (the total verdict being over $19 million). Three months prior to that, after two weeks as lead counsel at trial, Bosworth secured a $7 million settlement on behalf of a mother whose mentally disabled adult son wrongfully died in a group home. Bosworth also obtained multiple non-monetary terms in this settlement that were only agreed to by the defendant after two weeks of trial. In the past 5 years, Bosworth has been counsel on various additional jury trials and settlements totaling over $80 million. These cases included ones for medical malpractice, product liability, and wrongful death.
Recently, Bosworth was designated by the independent attorney group Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Pennsylvania, a designation reserved for the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state who are 40 or younger or practicing 10 years or less. Bosworth attended Temple University Beasley School of Law from where he graduated in 2016 with magna cum laude and Order of the Coif distinction. During law school, Bosworth participated as a member of Temple’s nationally ranked Trial Team and as a Research Editor of the Temple Law Review. Following law school, Bosworth was a law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence Stengel in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
