Skilled Legal Representation
For the People of Philadelphia & Beyond

Andrew Alston, Esq.

Of Counsel

Andrew Alston has a talent for quality advocacy—both oral and written. Though he has been a trial lawyer for most of his career, he has shifted his focus to persuasive legal writing. His use of plain English, easy formats, and quality visuals provide a breath of fresh air for the reader. And, in turn, his style improves the client’s posture. For this work, he consults with other attorneys—primarily solos and small firms—to improve and to provide engaging written advocacy.

By providing the necessary backup when issues are complex, different insight is needed, or deadlines are tight, Andrew’s legal writing services enable attorney clients to focus on the other aspects of their practice, business, and lives. Hourly and flat-fee options are available to help you budget for the drafting of demands, pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda. Andrew’s unique creativity with the persuasive use of visuals tied into focused legal writing has met with much success.

Prior to this, he focused his practice primarily on personal injury litigation, criminal defense, and family law. He is an experienced trial attorney with significant courtroom experience and a track record of trial successes. Andrew has a reputation for compassionate, effective, and honorable advocacy. He enjoys advocating for the underdog, and he carries that into his practice.

Andrew is an Honors graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University with his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After taking his Emergency Medical Technician training at Jefferson University Hospital, he was licensed and served in that role.

"In every case I work on, I call upon my courtroom experience and my compassion for others."

Andrew is a graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law. At Temple Law School, Andrew graduated with Dean’s Honor List recognition and numerous Trial Advocacy and trial performance awards. During law school, Andrew had the privilege to serve in an intern and extern clerkship in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for Federal District Court Chief Judge Juan Sanchez as well as Federal Magistrate Judge Timothy Rice. From Temple Law and separately from the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Andrew received awards for his public interest law service.

After law school, Andrew practiced law at one of the largest criminal defense organizations in Philadelphia where he represented hundreds of clients as lead counsel through all stages of hearings and trials—both bench and jury.

To continue to refine his courtroom skills, Andrew completed an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy at Temple University, Beasley School of Law. During the LL.M. Program, Andrew received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Courtroom Presentation and Performance.

Andrew volunteers his time to speak at continuing legal education and training programs, including PBI and NITA. Outside of the law and the courtroom, Andrew enjoys hiking, biking, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his family.
